Established in 1946, the Brown and Hurley Groups commitment to the Australian Road Transport Industry spans over 70 years. A wholly family owned Australian company employing over 400 people located across nine branches strategically located throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales.
In 2012, the Brown & Hurley Group officially opened its own purpose-built Technical Training Centre at Yatala, employing a full-time Trainer to develop and deliver a long-term training program to service the business and industry needs.
The Brown & Hurley training and education policy is simple – if there is a need or anticipated need, our people are trained and educated to meet those needs.
Brown & Hurley staff and invited customers regularly attend the Training Centre which houses the latest engines, gear boxes, differentials, and all other truck components for the Kenworth and DAF brands including a fully operational training truck. The facility is designed to replicate the branch workshops by having technicians trained using the same tooling as in their work environment.
Building a business offering as comprehensive as that provided by the modern-day Brown & Hurley Group demands significant investment – investment in facilities and stock, but most importantly in quality people. The Brown & Hurley Training Centre reflects our investment in our most valuable asset; our people, because at the end of the day it’s the people that drive the business.
